Facility: St. Elizabeths Hospital - Belleville at Belleville
Department: Patient Access
Position Requirements: Associates Degree, Vocational Certificate, or four years experience in a career field directly related to patient registration with High School Diploma or GED. Health care experience, additional college course work, typing skills (40 wpm with accuracy), data entry experience, and/or a knowledge of computers is desired. Knowledge of medical terminology also desired. Must be competent in both written and verbal communications (telephone and face-to-face contact) with young adults, adults and geriatric patients.
Position Purpose: Performs registration and verification processes for inpatient, outpatient and emergency patients in at least two sub-departments of Patient Access. PRN (scheduled as needed) Evening Shift
