Patient Care Supervisor
Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, responsible for shift supervision of professional and non professional personnel who provide direct patient care. Acts as an active member of the management team to support the provision of care model, standards of nursing practice, legal regulations, and hospital policies.
* Knowledge of nursing theory and practice as acquired through completion of a Bachelor's degree in Nursing in order to conduct patient assessments and review plans of care.
* Must possess current license to practice professional nursing in the State of Wisconsin.
* Approximately two to three years clinical experience complemented by supervisory experience in managing unit staffing and personnel necessary in order to gain knowledge of professional nursing practice/procedures, and proficiency in the care of complex pediatric patients.
ADDITIONAL POSTING DESCRIPTION
This position has a combination of clinical time in the role of charge nurse, and non clinical time. Clinical responsibilities will require oversight of both NICU and Peds depts on given shift. 12 hour night shifts (5 per payperiod), rotating with a partner to provide coverage M-F.
Some Monday day hour indirect time required.
