Patient Service Rep. /Scheduler /Switchboard - Physician Practice

Performs a variety of tasks including answering and directing telephone calls, patient appointment scheduling, gathering demographics and insurance information. Prepares encounter forms and charts for next day appointments, sorting mail and faxing.

Qualifications: The level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through completion of high school. CPR Certification required. 6months/one year related experience and/or on-the-job training. Medical office experience is preferred. Ability to carry out detailed written and oral instructions. Ability to read, understand and follow safety procedures. Ability to handle/count monies. Excellent computer skills, good math skills. Attention to detail. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be able to multi-task and work as a team player. Able to read, write, speak and understand English, and follow oral and written instructions.
