Our firm is in search of a Director of Payor Relations for a multisite healthcare company that has over 300 physician practices in 49 states and is growing. This is a newly created position and mainly involves collaboration with senior management on internal and external insurance initiatives. We need someone with Payor practices experience to improve business operations for all practices across the country by working to negotiate new contracts with existing carriers and develop relationships with new carriers to get the highest level of reimbursements.

TO BE CONSIDERED WE ARE LOOKING FOR SOMEONE WHO HAS EXPERIENCE DOING THE FOLLOWING IN A HOSPITAL SETTING OR A VERY LARGE MULTI SITE PHYSICIAN PRACTICE SETTING OR CURRENTLY WORKING FOR AN INSURANCE CARRIER AS IT RELATES TO THE DOING OF THIS ROLE.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

REVENUE CYCLE

* Analyze insurance payment trends by carrier and in aggregate to make recommendations for contract and fee negotiations.

* Collaborate with insurance coordinators and practices on denials, downgrades, or other anomalies to align billing practices with carrier requirements to improve care and reduce overall cost.
* Identify opportunities to utilize technology to improve eligibility verification, claims adjudication, claims payment and cash posting.

CREDENTIALING

* Oversee the credentialing team and processes including mentoring, training, and developing team members
* Development and maintenance of training programs and procedure manuals; optimization of credentialing process.

In this role you will have the Payor Relations Manager and team of Credentialing Supervisors reporting to you.

EXPERIENCE:

* Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or related field.
* 5 - 7years of demonstrated experience and knowledge in leading in the healthcare industry.
* 5 - 7years of demonstrated experience in contract negotiations and build relationships, preferably insurance carriers
* Working knowledge of Excel, Access and report management
* Willing to travel up to 25%
* Outstanding communication skills

WORK LOCATION: Boston, MA (This position does require you live in the Boston region as out client is located about 20 minutes Northwest of Boston.)

BASE SALARY:$90,000.00 - $140,000.00
