Do you want to work at a company that offers a rewarding environment?   Our client, located in St. Louis, MO is looking to hire a Payroll Associate on direct hire.   If you have processed payroll for over 1,000 employees and have multi-state experience, we want to hear from you! br   br As a Payroll Specialist you will… br   br ul
li Setup new hires based on W-4 & I-9 information including wage rates, union class, tax status and other employee deductions. /li li Enter timesheets daily with project information to generate appropriate calculation of union pay and associated union fringes.   /li li Utilizes Excel time import application for large projects that require automation. /li li Handles telephone calls from employees questioning hours worked, rates, overtime, union deductions, etc. and handles employment verifications. /li li Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll. /li li Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions and payroll deductions for each employee to update master payroll records. /li li Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, taxes and union dues to be withheld and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records. /li li Uses computer for data entry of payroll information /li li Records data concerning transfer of employees between projects. /li li Prepares printed checks and sorts checks for distribution to project sites. /li /ul
  br Payroll Qualifications include the following: br   br ul
li Must have 5 years of payroll experience /li li Multi-state payroll experience highly preferred /li li College degree preferred but not required /li li Union and non-union payroll experience is required /li li Supports and adheres to the matrix organization format /li li Meets schedules and deadlines, adheres to policies and procedures and maintains a good attendance/tardiness record /li li Ensures client satisfaction, both internally and externally, through positive, pleasant, professional and efficient handling of issues /li li Exercises good interpersonal skills by gladly assisting others to accomplish work of the organization, even if it is outside the scope of regular duties /li li Performs other duties as assigned by the Supervisor /li /ul
