JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY This Payroll Coordinator Position Features:
?Plans and conducts new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
?Keeps records of benefits plans participation such as insurance and pension plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
?Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and sexual harassment.
?Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.
?Administers Performance Management program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
?Administers benefits programs such as life, health, dental and disability insurances, pension plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and employee assistance.
?Investigates accidents and prepares reports for management, government agencies and insurance carrier. Participates on the Health and Safety Committee.
?Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
?Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
?Coordinates with outside suppliers to provide employee services, such as canteen, transportation, or relocation service.
?Compiles payroll data such as hours worked, taxes, and insurance to be withheld, and employee identification number, from time sheets and other records.
?Prepares computer input forms, enters data into computer files, or computes wages and deductions and posts to payroll records.
?Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
?Records changes affecting net wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, and loan payments for each employee to update master payroll records.
?Keeps records of leave pay and nontaxable wages.
?Coordinates 401(k) enrollment.
?Coordinates monthly employee activities luncheons, and other special events as required.
?Participates in job related training to improve professional skills.
?Performs other duties as assigned.
?Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
