This position will report directly to our VP Controller. Responsible for collecting, analyzing and preparing US payrolls and overseeing payroll providers in Europe. Works closely with Accounting, FP&A, and Human Resources to accomplish duties. Is accountable for quality, timeliness and accuracy of payroll, payroll tax reporting, 401(k) reporting and compliance, including ensuring transactions are accurately recorded in the general ledger by business unit domestic and international.

Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures payrolls are prepared and processed accurately and timely according to the pay calendars.
Ensures payrolls and associated taxes and withholdings are deposited and reported accurately according to filing requirements. Monitors international accounting services that process our non-US payrolls. Reconciles and records international payroll in the general ledger.
Maintains internal controls for accurate payroll processing.
Prepares bi-weekly analysis, account reconciliations, month end accruals as required.
Coordinates all payroll tax, insurance, and benefit audits.
Ensures all compliance is met with our 401(k) reporting, including required testing.
Monitors wage and hour regulations and facilitates discussions with finance and HR leadership to ensure we remain compliant.
Maintains detailed records around employee benefit costs, self-insurance analysis and accruals, including impact analysis on the Company s rolling forecast.
Maintains a strong internal customer perspective with employees ready to jump in an answer questions and help employees with our self service solutions.
Review month-end and quarterly financial reports, provide variance analysis, research financial irregularities.
Creates efficiencies through automation of financial reporting and improves access to financial data for analytical purposes.

Minimum Requirements
o Bachelor s degree.
o Certified payroll professional certification preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics
o 8-10 years of payroll preparation experience; international a plus.
o Must possess sound technical skills, analytical ability, and good judgment. Proficiency in Excel is a must.
o Demonstrated knowledge of accounting and analysis skills.
o Strong interpersonal and communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy in work.

Helpful / Preferred
o Experience with UltiPro and NetSuite, a plus.
