JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing weekly payrolls as this will include importing of time files, piece rate changes, manual timesheets, processing incentives, adjustments, terminations / layoffs, and all other payroll transactions. Review validation reports, labor audit reports, reconciliation of hours and pieces and other reports. Other processing includes: Bonuses and other special payments
The positions will report to the Payroll Supervisor.
? Processes multi-company weekly payrolls through web based payroll application and Oracle
? Prepares and reviews import files from production to process in the payroll application software
? Responds to questions from employees regarding paychecks, direct deposit and/or general payroll questions, and often handles escalated payroll matters from Production, Human Resources, I.T. and Accounting. .
? Partners and supports the local district Employee Resource Center(s)
? Runs and prepares reports as requested from Managers and Partners from other departments
? Processes off cycle checks as needed
? Processes employee terminations and layoffs related to payroll
? Escalates potential payroll issues or problems before they happen and escalates to supervisor or manager
? Participates in special projects as assigned, such as improving processes and procedures, and periodic updates to Payroll related forms
? Troubleshoot problems with paychecks, deductions, and other payroll-related matters
? Other duties as assigned
? Fluency in English and Spanish ? required
? Minimum 2 years? experience processing payroll for over 1,000 employees
? Ability to hold self-accountable for high-quality, timely, and effective results
? Ability to learn processes quickly for more efficient and effective results
? Demonstrates ability to engage in a direct and truthful manner
? Ability to present accurate and appropriate information
? Demonstrated ability to hold information confidential with excellent judgment
? Proficiency with MS Office suite of products
? Strong verbal and written communication skills
? Strong administrative skills, including strict attention to detail and accuracy
? Ability to provide excellent customer service
? Work well in teams to establish and maintain effective working relationships
? Ability to adapt to changing work environments and processes
? Ability to handle multiple tasks frequently
