span B Payroll / Staff Accountant /B br Our client is a leading homebuilding and fixtures company located in Orange County (Irvine), CA and is looking for a Payroll Specialist with strong ADP experience as well as General Ledger (Staff Accountant) experience. br   br B Job Description /B br • Use ADP to record and process all employee time and payroll data. br • Multi-company / Multi-state payroll processing br • Track and audit employee time and attendance br • Maintaining employee vacation/PTO calendars br • Managing all employee deductions, both mandatory and voluntary br • Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the Company’s financial reporting and general ledger structure. br • Identify, prepare and record necessary accruals, general ledger journal entries and job cost entries for financial accounting. br • Extensive ability to prepare schedules and reconcile various general ledger accounts; i.e., cash, accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts payable, payroll, and other accrued expenses and liabilities. br • Experience reconciling multiple bank accounts. br • Experience managing daily cash flow activity and forecast. br • Assist with annual budget process and prepare monthly budget variance analysis. br • Excellent Excel skills…if statements, vlookups, pivot tables. br • Ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned. br   br   br B The Successful Applicant /B br • B.A. in Business Administration, with emphasis in accounting. br • 1 to 3 years of Payroll and Financial Accounting experience required including, but not limited to, payroll processing, general ledger, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accounts payable for a Company with revenues in excess of $100 million. br • Real Estate industry preferred. br • Proven track record of progressive responsibility. br • Experience with maintaining policies, procedures, and internal controls. br • Must be self-motivated and work well under pressure within a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. br • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify issues and solutions, and ensure timely project completion with minimal supervision. Must be a team player. br • Proficiency in various computer applications (flexible and sophisticated enough to work with any accounting system), MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.). br • ADP,  ExakTime, Great Plains experience preferred br   br /span
