Nursing Support\-Pediatrics - - - # Description Assistant Clinical Nurse Manager Pediatric Full Time Nights 12 hour shifts Department Description:
The 18 beds on the inpatient pediatric unit \(3W\) include 16 positive pressure rooms\. , as well as two negative pressure rooms for the management of disseminated zoster, pneumonia and other diseases requiring negative airflow\. Delivered with the sensitivity to each patient's condition, services include chemotherapy, transfusion therapy, antibiotic therapy, hydration therapy, hematopoietic cell transplants, pre and post\-surgical care, pain management, care associated with clinical trials, terminal/palliative care, management of the side effects of disease or treatment, diagnostic and other therapeutic procedures, oncology/hematology treatment, psychosocial support including child life services, recreational therapy, clinical social work, psychology, school reintegration programs and rehabilitation services\. Position Summary and Key Responsibilities:
The Assistant Clinical Nurse Managers assists the Clinical Nurse Manager in the responsibilities for the daily operational needs of the assigned area\. Participates in the management of human and material resources as well as program planning and evaluation\. Provides input and participates into the development and management of the budget\. Provides supervision of employees, participates in hiring, assigns work, coaches, and trains, evaluates performance and completes simple disciplinary actions\. Actively works to ensure optimal delivery of care as well as performance improvement initiatives either through direct involvement and membership or by occasionally leading PI team efforts\. Able to actively collaborate with peers, subordinates and supervisors in constructive problem solving as well as to facilitate frequent team building interactions with staff\. Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
+ BSN + Current California RN License + Current BLS + Minimum of 3\-5 years of acute care nursing experience + Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferred*
