We are seeking an experience, self-directed and highly motivated Pediatric Speech Pathologist to join our Speech Therapy team at Rush University Medical Center!

Position Highlights:
The principal responsibilities for this position are related to providing clinical services.
Will participate in clinical projects.
Schedule for this position are Mondays and Fridays/8 Hour Shifts with half-day on either Saturday or Sunday

Position Responsibilities:

Effectively administer and interpret diagnostic testing for inpatients and outpatients; the caseload may range in age.
Provide comprehensive and appropriate speech, language, voice, swallowing, and rehabilitative services to all age ranges.
Independently provide supervision for students in the practicum portion of the academic program.
Participate in one or more special clinical projects such as Quality Improvement, outcome measures, stroke program, Rounds, marketing, specific service areas, etc.
Effectively contribute to the departmental teaching program.
Actively participate in all aspects of departmental program development.
Actively participate in department, medical center or professional service.
Involvement and support of the Department's scholarly/research activity.

Position Qualifications Include:

Completed a minimum of a master's level degree
Illinois licensure in speech-language pathology
Maintain current ASHA certification in order to supervise students.
3 or more years of experience in Level 2-3 NICU is highly desired
3 or more years of experience in outpatient pediatric feeding / swallowing highly desired
Clinical skills with competence in primary and beginning competence in specialty areas
Possess excellent problem solving skills and analytic ability to appropriately diagnose patients' problems and develop rehabilitation plans
Ability to approach each situation with an open mind and positive attitude; ability to work and interact well with others so that customer service remains a priority
Capable of handling a busy, varying caseload; possess good organizational skills
