The Department Of Pediatrics Is Seeking A Full-time BC/BE Pediatrician For Our Children's Mercy West Clinic Located In Kansas City , Kansas , Just Off State Avenue And I-635. Children From Birth To Age 18 Are Seen Monday Through Friday, 8am-5pm, And Saturday Mornings By Appointment Only. Bilingual Skills Would Be Helpful As The Patient Population Is Approximately 37% Spanish Speaking. This Physician Will Become One Of Five Full-time Pediatricians In This Very Busy Practice. To Facilitate Continuity Of Care Physicians Have A Primary Nurse. Expectations Include Four Full-days Of Clinic Per Week And One Saturday Morning Clinic Per Month. Call Will Be Split Equally Amongst The Physicians And Will Be No More Than 10 Days Per Month. Other Responsibilities Include Serving As Attending (1week/5) In Newborn Well Baby Care At A Community Hospital ( Providence Medical Center ). The Practice Facility Is Spacious And Provides A Cheerful, Colorful Welcome To Our Patients And Their Families. It Includes On-site Radiology, Laboratory, Pharmacy, And Medical Records. Nurse Phone Triage Is Supported By CMH Contact Center. Other Care Team Staff Members Include A Social Worker And 2 Bilingual (English/Spanish) Interpreters. This Practice Is Very Well Established And Has Been In Existence For Over 30 Years. Current Goals Include Obtaining NCQA Accreditation For The Patient-Centered Medical Home Program.
