Position Overview

CBIZ is seeking a Pension Analyst in our Woodstock, GA office.

An ideal candidate will have some experience with and knowledge of Defined Benefit (DB) pension plans and pension administration, and be able to perform a wide variety of recurring defined benefit plan administration services for plan participants and clients. This candidate should possess strong communication, logical thinking, problem solving skills, the ability to multi-task, and be comfortable working independently and as a member of a team.

Job Responsibilities


Calculate estimated and final benefits for DB plans (primarily death and disability but also retirement, termination, and QDRO benefits)

Analyze death audit

Run daily death reports

Create survivor records

Create forms and files to be processed by Trustee

Process overpayments and refunds

Analyze and process Long Term Disability (LTD) records

Weekly finalization of benefit payments including data entry and review

Run, analyze, and process various bi-monthly and monthly pension benefit reports

Create letters and retirement packages

Update data system

Communicate with vendors



0 3 years defined benefit plan administration experience

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Solid expertise in Microsoft Excel and Word

Strong attention to detail

Respond to participant calls and facilitate requests

Strong oral and written communication skills

Ability to organize, set priorities, work independently and complete multiple projects within established deadlines

Maintain current knowledge of client specific plan provisions

Able to work independently and in a team environment

Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally

Professional, client-focused approach to colleagues and assignments

High School Diploma (or GED) required; Bachelor s or Associates Degree in Math or relevant field preferred
