The Personal Banker position serves as an ambassador of Commerce Bank to our customers. This key branch team member is primarily responsible for providing the optimal customer experience and delivering personal service across multiple business lines, which includes service and sales activities. On a typical banking day, the Personal Banker will enjoy a significant level of customer contact and requests. This position will provide a great level of skill, knowledge and experience for your career and professional development. The Personal Banker Utility will be required to travel and work at various branches with varying starting and ending times based on the needs of the branch throughout the Kansas City metro area (other than base location).\n\nHourly Pay Range: $11.75 - $13.10\n(An extra 10% hourly pay premium is provided for the Personal Banker Utility position)\n\nAs a Personal Banker I, you will:\n*\tProcess customer transactions, balance, and safeguard against fraud\n*\tMaximize the customer's experience during interactions while executing Commerce Bank's expectations and assist in meeting the branch team's goals\n*\tObtain and evaluate customer information and develop recommendations to match and satisfy customer needs\n*\tPromote Commerce Bank's products and services based on customer's needs\n*\tEffectively leverage sales process within customer interactions, cross-selling and referral skills\n*\tGenerally, handle service transactions and sales interactions\n*\tMay have approval authority and/or vault responsibilities\n\nEducation:\n*\tHigh School diploma (or equivalent) is required\n*\tBachelor's degree is preferred but not required\n\nPreferred applicants will have:\n*\tAt least 1 years' experience as a Personal Banker/Teller, Banking Services Consultant, Financial Service Representative or similar position is preferred but not required\n*\tCustomer service and sales experience\n*\tKnowledge of retail banking products, philosophy, policy, procedures, and documentation is preferred\n*\tEffective sales ability including cross-selling and referral skills\n*\tCash handling experience is preferred but not required\n*\tStrong PC skills and previous experience with (or ability to learn) retail banking sales and transaction processing systems\n*\tExcellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)\n*\tStrong attention to detail and accuracy skills\n*\tEffective multi-tasking and organizational skills\n*\tAbility to work Saturdays
