STG International is currently seeking a full-time Personnel Assistant to support the Administrative Office of the US Courts (AOUSC) in Washington, DC:
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
Performs human resources administrative, operational and/or analytical duties to ensure all functions associated with processing human resources transactions (includes verifying retirement coverage, life insurance, health insurance, thrift savings plan and verifying creditable service) are completed accurately, correctly, and in a timely fashion to meet personnel and payroll cycles. Integrates input from various sources to create a cohesive product.
Process federal personnel actions, demonstrating an understanding of federal civilian human resources terminology, and experience processing new hires, transfers, benefits, and other personnel actions that generate a Standard Form 50.
Processes routine personnel actions: separations, terminations, return-to-duty, change in work schedule, LWOP, Extension of Promotion NTE, cash awards and e-service actions.
Completes requests for prior service for employee's with prior service from other federal agencies. Provides prior service eOPF to eOPF team for scanning. Computes leave SCDs.
Answers basic federal benefits questions.
Audits SF-1150's. Ensuring appropriate leave accrual - taking into consideration restored leave and donated leave. Obtains any required documentation from court units.
Works with the Branch Chief and other HR Assistants to clear the NTE Report and Promotion NTE report each pay period. Ensuring that SSB has the appropriate personnel actions (conversion, termination, transfer, etc.) to avoid salary overpayments.
Maintain team e-mail boxes. Printing off paper actions and providing to servicing HR Specialists. Answering inquiries and clearing each box at the end of the pay period.
Addresses any cut-off issues at the end of the pay period.
Answer team phone lines, responding to inquires and forwarding calls to servicing HR Specialists as necessary
A total of three (3) years experience is required for this position. Two (2) years of experience must be specialized experience.
Experience processing federal personnel actions, demonstrating an understanding of federal civilian human resources terminology, and experience processing new hires, transfers, benefits, and other personnel actions that generate a Standard Form 50. * Practical knowledge of and performing duties in one or more personnel management functions such as: staffing, employee relations, classification, benefit processing.
* Experience in processing actions (includes benefits, and/or payroll) into an enterprise-wide automated application. This type of work includes using skills in mathematics and logical thinking and the ability to interpret written legal materials, such as regulations and plan documents.
