SERVICE AREA OVERVIEW
The Department of Pharmaceutical Services ensures the safe, effective and timely use of medications for our patient populations 24 hours a day. Our Pharmacists practice direct, responsible provision of medication-related care for the purpose of achieving definite outcomes that improve a patient s quality of life. Our Pharmacists promote the safe and effective use of medications by collaborating with medical staff and other professionals formally through the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. We actively participate on interdisciplinary patient care rounds, Clinical Guideline Teams, CQI Teams and a variety of hospital and medical staff committees.
1. The Pharmacist will be responsible for practicing Pharmacy as a knowledge based clinical profession, and integrating patient oriented services with traditional distributive and drug control activities.
2. Provides pharmaceutical services including drug information to nurses, physicians, and other health care providers for retail, home infusion, and pharmacy support of GI, Radiology, Surgery, and Pain Clinic areas.
Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
This position wordays will vary and will be evening shift. 36 Hours Per Pay Period.
