Pharmacy Clinical Coordinator Peds - RMHC @ PSL Medical Center-03166-29397 Primary Location: United States-Colorado-Denver Job: Pharmacy amp; Pharmacy Tech Schedule: Full-time Description: Position Summary: HealthONE - PresbyterianSt. Lukes Medical Center and the Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children, located in the heart of Denver, Colorado, serves as a regional tertiary referral center for a multi-state area. We feature over 80 specialties and 1,000 specialists and primary care physicians. Our staff provides compassionate and innovative care while working alongside top physicians and helping some of the most challenging and rewarding surgical and medical patients. The pharmacy team consists of 65 diverse and talented professionals dedicated to providing exceptional pharmaceutical care. They provide a broad range of clinical services and oversee the medication management system including some of the most advanced drug distribution technologies available. Clinical services include pharmacokinetics, anticoagulation, specialized nutrition support, antimicrobial stewardship, medication reconciliation, and patient education. Specialized services are provided in the areas of blood and marrow transplant; kidney transplant; labor and delivery; adult, pediatric, and neonatal intensive care; pediatrics; medical and surgical services. The pharmacy offers two PGY1 residency positions and is a major teaching site for the University of Colorado, University of Wyoming, and the Regis University Schools of Pharmacy and several pharmacy technician schools. The Pediatric Clinical Coordinator is responsible for all aspects of staff education and development for the Womens and Childrens service lines. This includes, but is not limited to, age specific competencies, profile review, IV to PO conversion strategies, renal dosing, pharmacokinetic dosing, antibiotic stewardship, and therapeutic substitution. Additionally, the Pediatric Clinical Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the evaluation of new medications for the formulary and Medication Use Evaluation. Collaboration with the various physicians and section meetings will be necessary. The Pediatric Clinical Coordinator will work with the pharmacy management team to identify and implement performance improvement opportunities. SheHe will assume responsibility for the Pharmacy Department when the Director and Assistant Directors of Pharmacy are absent. Qualifications: I. Position Requirements: A. LicensureCertificationRegistration: Current licensure by the Colorado Board of Pharmacy as a registered Pharmacist. BLS, PALS, and ACLS within first 12 months of employment. B. Education: Pharm D. degree and completion of an ASHP accredited residency program preferred. C. Experience: 3-5 years clinical experience is preferred. D. Special Qualifications: Must have the ability to type and have effective written and oral communication skills and computer skills. Demonstrated skills commensurate with formal training.
