Facility: Medical Center of Central Georgia (200) at Macon
Department: PHARMACY
Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, the Technician I performs technical, clerical and mechanical tasks required for drug distribution and control. Scope of duties includes interpreting and processing inpatient and outpatient drug orders, making dosage calculations, performing dosage measurement, and maintaining records. May function in hospital or ambulatory care sites or may be in training to prepare sterile products.
Certification/License/Registration: Registration with the Georgia State Board of Pharmacy is required.
Minimum Qualifications: High School/GED. Completion of at least one course of algebra, chemistry, or biology. Must type at least 20-30 WPM. Must be able to lift & push 25-50 lbs. Full-time Varied Shift High school diploma or equivalent is required
