Facility: Rutland Regional Medical Center at Rutland
Department: Pharmacy

This incumbent assists the pharmacist in daily operational functions such as medication delivery (multiple methods and technologies are in use), processing some medication orders, perform code cart checks and clinic inspections, troubleshooting basic problems and providing support to internal customers (e.g. nursing). This incumbent is responsible for monitoring and maintaining pharmacy and point of care inventory, including review of drug expiration dates, restocking of shelves, servicing the IV room, etc. The incumbent prepares intravenous admixtures, including but not limited to TPN, large volume and small volume IV medications, performs billing/crediting tasks. The incumbent must adhere to applicable policies and procedures. The incumbent must have effective communication skills and be a team player. End user knowledge of computer systems and software is a must.





Minimum Education


High school diploma, one year healthcare and/or pharmacy experience is required. Associates degree in healthcare related field is desirable but not required.



Minimum Work Experience


Prior experience preferred.
Prior hospital pharmacy experience or pharmacy technician certification preferred.
