Due to our exceptional growth and success, we are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician II - Clinical Process to join our team.


Responsible for overall coordination and processing of patient medication orders, to include order intake within regulatory boundaries, patient services coordination, and Pharmacy Technician duties as defined by policy and regulation and while under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist.


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

* Enters new prescriptions into the pharmacy computer system where permitted by state pharmacy regulation, and under the direct supervision the Pharmacist after their review of the prescription and in accordance with Company policy and procedure.

* Processes prescription refills, to include:

1 refill confirmation when appropriate;

2 review of pending refills with the supervising Pharmacist;

3 generate the refill documentation;

4 adjudicate medication based pharmacy claims when appropriate.

* Generates delivery and equipment pick-up tickets.

* Communicates as necessary with patients to identify general health status, medication compliance, drug and supply inventory, and provide overall coordination of care and service (custom assessment in CPR+).

* Gathers, organizes, documents (in CPR+ and electronic medical record), and reports clinical data for review and action by the patient care team (Pharmacist, Nurse,prescriber) to include:

1 lab data;

2 results of patient contact documented on the custom assessment;

3 hospitalizations;

4 follow-up appointments.

* Generates pharmacy and clinical reports from CPR+ as directed.

* Assists in coordination of patient assessment, drug compounding, and delivery to meet lead time and delivery deadlines.

* Coordinates with warehouse and pharmacy team to ensure all medications needed are available for patient care.

* Attends patient care meetings and provide information status reports.

* Assists in the prioritization and the progress of patient paperwork through the patient care pathway.

* Tracks controlled substance prescriptions requiring prescriber signature using CPR+.

* Assists in maintaining the accuracy of CPR+ branch specific supply templates.

* Capable of sterile compounding according to Company policy.

* Performs the Pharmacy Technician duties considered acceptable by state pharmacy regulations under supervision of a licensed registered Pharmacist.

* Completes all necessary paperwork, forms, and records according to policy.

* Maintains solid knowledge of, and complies with, Company policies and procedures.

* Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.

* Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment or in a cleanroom.

* Chemotherapy is compounded on site; compliance with all safety procedures required.

* May occasionally be exposed to moving mechanical parts.

* The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.


High School Diploma; meets all state requirements, which may be registration, licensure or certification. Minimum of three (3) or more years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze and interpret pharmacy and clinical information appropriate to duties and responsibilities assigned. Ability to operate information systems, follow policy, complete required forms, and prepare reports. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from referral sources, managers, patients, employees, payors and the general public.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as pharmaceutical calculations, discounts, percentages, and volume. Ability to read and interpret compounding, inventory, and delivery documents.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of abstract variables.
