The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, Deerfield Beach Campus, is currently seeking a Pharmacy Technician (Per Diem).

The Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy/Pharmacy Manager or his/her Pharmacist designee. The Pharmacy Technician operates according to standard procedures in assisting the Pharmacist in compounding, dispensing and distributing pharmaceutical supplies upon receiving prescriptions or requisitions from physicians or other qualified prescribers, and in maintaining appropriate patient records and charges.

The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: High School diploma or equivalent education is required and one (1) year of experience as a pharmacy technician including preparation of aseptic solutions and inpatient and outpatient drug distribution systems. Must be able to work mathematical calculations accurately and have an understanding of medical terminology. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient data. Must be registered with the Florida Board of Pharmacy. A registered Pharmacy Technician with Florida Department of Health is required. A Pharmacy technician certification preferred. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience and/or certifications will be considered.
