Collects appropriate venous and arterial blood samples from all age groups. Operates basic equipment and performs waived or moderate complexity lab tests under the supervision of a Technologist. Follows the policies and procedures of the hospital and the lab. Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent required. Phlebotomy Certificate, Medical Assistant or CNA preferred. One year as a Phlebotomist in a hospital setting preferred. Completion of a Phlebotomy training program preferred. Excellent customer relations skills. Mathematical, verbal, and written skills at the High School level. Near visual and hearing acuity is essential as well as motor coordination. Relief As needed
