Collects blood from donors, checks quality of blood, and assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of
donors, following established standards and practices. Performs capillary and venous blood collections on
patients. Processes and accessions clinical specimens and performs computer data entry and retrieval, result
reporting, faxing, and mailing of reports according to department standards.
Qualifications
EDUCATION: High school graduation or equivalent; phlebotomy course preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 6 months phlebotomy experience preferred.
LICENSE/CERT/REG: Phlebotomy certification preferred.
SKILLS: Verbal and written communication skills. Basic computer skills preferred. Part Time Day
