JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:

The 2nd shift Photometric Test Technician is responsible for set-up of test samples, logging test data, monitoring testing, troubleshooting testing and suspicious test data, and reporting completed test results. This position is part of a NVLAP accredited area and will perform testing in accordance with prescribed test protocols. This position also interacts with various engineering teams as the customer.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Workflow:

* Set-up and perform testing per the test schedule

* Ensure testing samples are correctly handled throughout testing

* Administration and Staff Support:

* Collection of test data

* Compile test data into test reports

* Interaction with Test Request database

* Quality Activities:

* Ensure tests are performed in accordance with defined test method work instructions

* Ensures test data is properly collected

* Ensures required NVLAP documentation is completed

* Participates in area quality audits

* Reports any identified test sample quality issues to area test engineer prior to testing

* Maintenance and Housekeeping Activities:

* Follows all area Safety rules

* Maintains the integrity of the product test sample throughout the testing process

* Maintains area Housekeeping to include the area, testing fixtures, tools, and equipment

* Minor equipment maintenance may be expected

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Associate degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Photometric engineering or applied science program preferred

* Min. 2 years in a lab testing environment, preferred

* Requires competency in MS Word and Excel

* Requires excellent communication skills, verbal and written

* Requires customer service interaction skills

* Requires general knowledge and experience using hand tools and power tools

* Requires up to 50 lb. lifting and installation of product test sample on test equipment

* Regular Schedule is for 2nd Shift: 3:00PM - 11:30PM, Monday - Friday
