Provides physical therapy to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Evaluates, establishes treatment plan and goals of treatment, and provides for and/or supervises the administration of treatment modalities/procedures done to meet the needs of the patient as it pertains to the age and diagnosis of the patient. Incorporates patient and family education. Provides documentation for all of the above. Knowledge of physical therapy standards and practices normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor s Degree in Physical Therapy from a school of Physical Therapy accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).Yearly competencies in Blood and Potentially Infectious Materials, Preventing Tuberculosis, Fire Safety, Emergency Preparedness, Corporate Compliance, Customer Service, Patient Rights and HIPAA, Population Specific Care and Diversity, Hazard Communication, and Caregiver Misconduct must be completed prior to working in a healthcare organization. Current CPR certification required. Possesses a valid in-State drivers license with automobile liability insurance. Current Michigan and Wisconsin licensure to practice physical therapy. 1-3 years experience as a Physical Therapist desirable.Post graduate education in an area of specialization, experience in general practice of physical therapy with experience in area of specialization, and Clinical Specialist certification beneficial.
