Job Description

St. Joseph Hospital and Trauma Center is a 208-bed, acute care facility providing a full range of diagnostic and treatment services for inpatients and outpatients. St. Joseph provides comprehensive integrated inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and home care services through St. Joseph Hospital and Trauma Center, multiple physician practices and affiliated companies.

Physical Therapist, 4 South, Rehab
Per diem, 1st shift
RPT, NH license and experience required

PT:
The Physical Therapy Per Diem position entails treating a variety of patients on a 24 bed inpatient rehab unit. Focus of treatment is on transfers, gait training, muscle strengthening and education with a goal of reaching the highest level possible and returning home. Treatment is mostly 1:1 and completed in a multidisciplinary environment

JOB SUMMARY

1. Responsible to Rehabilitative Services Director In/Outpatient.

2. Provides physical therapy evaluation and treatment to patients upon appropriate medical referral.

3. Performs related duties of documentation, communication with physicians and other ancillary services and patient charges.

4. Participates in department meetings, inservices, audits, Performance Improvement, and discharge planning when appropriate.

5. Processes confidential information and adheres to Patient Bill of Rights.

6. Provides holiday and weekend coverage as needed.

7. Will provide coverage in other physical therapy departments as needed and determined by Director of Satellites and immediate supervisor.

8. Productivity: As per JPS guidelines (#8)

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Graduate of an accredited program in Physical Therapy with at least a Bachelor of Science Degree.

2. Licensed in the State of New Hampshire prior to beginning employment.

3. Completes all mandatory competency testing.
