Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA)

The Physical Therapy Assistant is responsible for the administration, documentation, and billing of physical therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. In conjunction with a licensed Physical Therapist supervises and guides the Physical Therapy Techs.

Performs physical therapy treatments as determined by treatment plan established by a licensed Physical Therapist.
Documents treatments per hospital policy and communicates patient progress to appropriate personnel.
Performs billing for patient treatments per departmental policy.
Consults with physicians, nurses and families as needed as evidenced by feedback.
Attends staff conferences and in-service training as scheduled.

Qualifications:

Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
Current Physical Therapy Assistant Certification from AZ State Board of Physical Therapy
0 - 12 months of experience
Novice Word, Outlook, and Meditech Full-time Day shift Associates degree required
