The Physical Therapy Tech is responsible for providing patient treatment under the direct supervision of a physical therapist to patients of all ages at all levels of care. Duties include, but are not limited to assisting with patient treatment; maintenance and cleaning of department and equipment; ordering supplies; and transporting of patients.

Prepares treatment area and sets up patient for treatment. Provides assistance with patient treatment as requested. Administers patient exercise programs and functional mobility skills as directed by physical therapist.
Maintains work area in an orderly fashion.
Each morning prepares and organizes patient assignment board and incorporates new evaluations in task such that assignments are approximately equivalent for all Staff Physical Therapists. Obtains information needed if missing from orders received.
Assists with/performs patient billing from staff billing sheets according to department billing procedures and within established time frames.

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent
0-6 months as Physical Therapy Tech
Current BCLS Pool/On-call Day shift High school diploma or equivalent is required Current BCLS/CPR Certification Required
