As a member of the Agilent Order Fulfillment & Supply Chain (OFS) team, the Planner/Buyer Specialist team member will:

*Collaborate with stakeholders as the Production Planning liaison, ensuring timely and effective day-to-day communication in areas such as production/planning priorities, material supply problem-solving resolution and escalations, as required.
*Provide representation and leadership for Supply Operations in support of stakeholder requirements, utilizing strong Planning knowledge & SAP skills.
*Plans and coordinates end-to-end supply chain planning, including when goods should be produced and in what quantity, while optimizing the balance between on-time customer delivery requirements and inventory levels.
*Compile, develop, validate and communicate medium-staged and short-term production/shipment plans, and associated strategies that support overall business objectives.
*Use SAP to obtain customer delivery and responsiveness targets, track inventory, supplier scheduling, process and workflow management.
*Manage and provide analysis of scheduling trends in-line with capacity allowances.
*Identify and analyze variances in schedule performance against the baseline plan.
*Active involvement in continuous improvement plans ( III , Lean, Six Sigma)
*Establish and manage relationships with suppliers/partners.
*Supports NPI at the supply-chain level.

Education Requirements
*Bachelors, Masters or University Degree in Business, Operations Management required, along with specialized planning training/certification desired, related field of study, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.

*Possess strong knowledge of product life cycles and supply chain, including production planning, manufacturing, order fulfillment, procurement and supply management practices
*Knowledge of appropriate systems (e.g. SAP, and web tools), with emphasis on SAP production, inventory, shipping/receiving functions.
