Company Profile: Biodiesel Plant - Green Company Job Description: This position is for local residents only. Our client, a leading Biodiesel client is seeking someone to run and manage their plant in Austin TX (Ceder Creek) Responsible for the overall operation of: Unloading of feedstock oil and screens/filters oil for processing Operation of all plant equipment Monitoring of all process operating parameters and utility infrastructure operations (i.e. boiler/heat transfer, chiller, chemical batching, stocking, pumping/valving/ etc.) Monitoring & operation of computerized plant control system Ensures multiple daily plant rounds checking equipment for proper operations/problems Ensures preventive maintenance & minor repairs. Coordinate major repairs & upgrades Troubleshooting of processing problems & taking appropriate corrective action Transferring of finished products for transport Directs and monitors Plant Operator's daily work assignments, assisting as needed Provides feedback continually on positive & negative employee performance Ensures communication of shift change information with Plant Operators Ensures operator training and planning of daily operations & reporting Ensures compliance with all enivronmental, health and safety policies and objectives Maintains reporting for accounting and production and communicates with corporate office Job Requirements: In order to qualify for this role: Ideally if you have run a biodiesel plant if not then ideally run a process oriented plant. Education and Basic Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Able to read, write and speak English fluently Basic computer skills for email, MS Word/Excel and ability to learn company-specific programs Valid drivers's license Experience and Job Skills *Experience in biofuels or petro-chemical production *Experience in a processing plant environment, preferably in handling chemicals *Experience in operating equipment and performing maintenance & repairs *Able to lead team members and assign work orders and communicate with company personnel *Able to recognize, evaluate and lead employees for optimum performance *Able to communicate with outside vendors, customers and contractors *Able to make routine decisions within a predetermined span of authority *Able to exercise prudent judgement prior to consultation with supervisor *Must have a strong, lead-by-example, hands-on work ethic Working Conditions *Exposure to heights, noise, weather conditions and areas with hazardous chemicals *Must be able to work while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required *Must be able to work all shifts/schedules as needed *Ability to adapt to changing situations and to handle competing demands with flexibility *Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, stoop, sit & walk extensively Keywords: Retail, Engineering, Logistics, Maintenance, Mfg - Management, Public Warehousing, Warehousing
