JOB DESCRIPTIONKEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall leadership, planning and management of plant operations to support production and to achieve safety and quality objectives, ensure customer satisfaction, continuous improvement and operational effectiveness.
Assume P&L responsibility for plant including evaluation of appropriate financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statements, etc.), provide bridge analysis between budgeted and actual results, and take appropriate actions to meet or exceed conditions set forth in the budget and the business plan.
Responsible for entire operations, including monitoring operation of plant floor, inbound and outbound activities, project costing, inventory control and equipment.
Develop and execute resource plans (machine, manpower, tooling, capital) to meet customer demands with timely deliveries of quality products.
Apply resources to continuously reduce the cost to produce through the reduction of production scrap, reduction of waste, reduction of variation, and support of purchasing to leverage scale to reduce raw material and MRO item costs.
Lead and motivate employees to exercise and maximize their full potential and deliver timely execution of action plans.
Maintain equipment and facility effectiveness to support ongoing demand through appropriate reactive maintenance, proactive maintenance, and purchased services.
Plan and develop operating system to optimize the use of resources for results, increase profitability for plant and improve productivity, quality and cost effectiveness.
Responsible for setting up and maintaining department operating budgets.
Recruit and retain employees, at all levels of the organization, to effectively execute the business plan; continuously seek improvement in their work, build strong teamwork and meet company goals.
Manage policy deployment in the areas of lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls and plant performance measures.
Provide leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
Determine operations head count needs and ensure compliance with company policies.
Provide coaching and mentoring of employees.
Identify, communicate and drive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects.
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in a technical field and 10+ years related work experience in manufacturing operations and leading teams OR 15+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 5 years of experience leading teams
