PCA is proud to have a highly skilled and experienced team leading the way. We are seeking resumes for a Plant Manager in our Hexacomb Arlington, TX facility. Hexacomb is a leader in kraft paper-based honeycomb protective packaging product and serves key industries that value product protection coupled with environmental sustainability. This includes furniture, consumer, automotive, textile, food, building products, energy, glass, and industrial. Hexacomb has nine manufacturing plants in North America. The Plant Manager has total performance and results responsibility of all the functional areas of the plant. The Plant Manager has the overall responsibility for the safety, direction, planning and organization of the production and administrative functions of the plant. Principle Accountabilities:
- Establish performance and development goals for the entire plant within corporate office guidelines. Provide strategic leadership to plant personnel in implementing plant objectives. - Initiates and maintains excellent customer service and public relations. - Oversees key projects, processes and performance reports, data and analysis. - Review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. - Review analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data to determine department or plant progress toward stated goals and objectives. - Direct and approves all registrations for maintenance and repair of building and equipment and in manufacturing methods. - Recommends and directs improvements in machinery and equipment and in manufacturing methods. - Oversees manufacturing, customer service, planning and maintenance departments to review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing and facility problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays and to meet future growth - Reviews and supports engineering and sales to oversee design concepts with fundamental or new technology used for new or existing products or improvement to provide cost reduction, safety, customer requirements and market growth - Determine staffing requirements, and interview, hire and train new employees, or oversee those personnel processes - Implement or oversee environmental management or sustainability programs - Participate in formulating and administering company policies, directing and coordinating all divisional department activities to develop and implement long-range goals and objectives to meet business and profitability growth objectives. - Establish and implement plant wide policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, conferring with corporate, organization officials, and staff members as necessary. - Provide leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training and development. - Knows and follows policies and procedures of the company, shares information that would benefit other members of the team and finds ways to improve the delivery of service to our customers. Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, supply management operations or other analytical field. - 10 years of experience as Plant Manager, or Production Manager, or equivalent experience in other duties related to Manufacturing. - Demonstrated management skills and knowledge of manufacturing processes and marketing. - Strong written and verbal communication skills. - Strong inter-personal skills with the ability to network and build relationships with individuals of various experience and corporate levels both within and outside of the company. - Solid financial and business operations analysis skills with the ability to identify opportunities for improvements. - Strong negotiation and persuasion skills with the ability to create new business opportunities. - Solid working knowledge of PC applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Ability to work in a fast paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously. - Strong listening, evaluating, and problem solving skills. Ability to create alternative solutions and meet deadlines. - Strong leadership skills and experience leading a team preferred, or a strong understanding of the importance of open communication and information sharing among co-workers - Must be able to travel as necessary and possess a valid U.S. driver's license.
