Job Description

Plant Manager - Manufacturing & Production (Bakersfield)

Local oil and gas manufacturer is seeking a qualified Manager to run their Kern County Plant.

Scope of position:
Manage a staff of supervisors to ensure safe, profitable and timely delivery of product and services for the continuous sucker rod product line within the standards of budget, policies, procedures and quality to satisfy the requirements of both internal and external customers.

Develop and implement programs and procedures to increase productivity and profitability.

Coordinate all mobile equipment, equipment maintenance and employees in district for continuous sucker rod operations.

Be responsible for KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) including financial performance compared to budget, market share, safety statistics, employee turnover, equipment utilization and DOT/Regulatory compliance.

Ensure employees are recruited, trained and competent in all aspects of their roles and that career paths are monitored.

Coordinate contact with major customers by means of customer meetings and develop strategies to engage customer base and identify market potential.

Ensure local inventory control performance is maintained.

Recognize problems and improvements needed and pass these on to upper management.

3. Qualifications:

Three years' experience in job or as a continuous sucker rod supervisor specializing in operations and maintenance.

Degree preferred but will look at overall experience for qualifications.
