The Plant Manager is responsible for the management of a custom manufacturing assembly operations. The Plant Manager leads the development and execution of 3-5 year Strategic Plans designed to build a high performance culture and organizational capability for driving continuous improvement, manufacturing excellence, and best in class quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
Responsibility for overall leadership and management of efficient manufacturing operations, and continuous operational and quality improvement.
Champions Lean Manufacturing concepts and practices for continuous improvement, supply chain cost reductions, operating budgets,
Drive plant performance to a Dashboard of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): safety, quality, delivery and cost
Ensures that customer requirements clearly are understood in all operations and functions with emphasis on of product quality and on time delivery
Drive supplier quality delivery performance to all upstream suppliers as well as downstream to the distributor network.
Responsible for building quality into every aspect of manufacturing and supply chain operations
Each manufacturing functional area is challenged with continuous improvement through improved process controls, various process teams,
Champion a data driven quality system that using root cause analysis activity and corrective action planning and execution to resolve quality issues and implement preventive corrective actions
Leads by example in driving responsibility and ownership of quality to all employees and to all job duties
Monitors and tracks satisfaction of internal and external customers through use of quality tools and metrics for customers and suppliers
Responsible for the overall associate safety and security of the facility via collaboration between management team, leads, and safety manager by setting safety goals and emphasizing high expectations of awareness through 5-S initiatives
Drives OSHA and NIOSH compliance
Develops and drives cost improvement initiatives utilizing Lean Manufacturing Principles to reduce rework and eliminate waste thereby improving quality, cost and increasing manufacturing capacity.
Required Experience, Education MBA is a plus
Ability to work collaboratively through teamworking in all levels and function in the plant
Broad experience in a wide variety of manufacturing process environments.
Proven ability to lead, coach, delegate and facilitate teamworking
Demonstrated keen eye for talent, and capability in developing talent and driving people development
Demonstrated capability and experience in strategic planning
Proven business and financial acumen and skills
