JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY Essential Functions:
Under minimal supervision, performs tasks required for efficient operation of all functions in a natural gas processing plant, including the cryogenic plant, amine treating plant, glycol and mole-sieve dehydration systems, tank farm, utilities, engines/compressors, PD and centrifugal pumps, and other plant functions, systems, and equipment. Responsible for ensuring proper flows, temperatures, pressures, and levels. Recognizes operating deviations and takes appropriate corrective action.
Recognizes equipment abnormalities. Communicates with maintenance regarding significant repairs.
Responsible for recording of parameter values, completion of operating reports, notification of environmental deviations, and equipment lockout/tag-out for maintenance and repair.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Effective written and verbal communication.
Basic mechanical aptitude.
Ability to read, comprehends, and applies information in operating and equipment manuals.
Physical capabilities of standing, walking, bending, climbing ladders and stairs, stretching, reaching over shoulder height, lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
With guidance from Operations Manager performs tasks required for operation of cryogenic plant, amine treater plant, glycol/dehydration system, PD pumps and centrifugal pumps, including but not limited to: completing log readings for the amine treater plant and dehydration System, and maintaining proper oil levels in rotating equipment, process pumps and blowers.
Recognizes operating deviations and takes appropriate corrective action.
Maintains cleanliness and general appearance of facilities and surrounding work area as needed. Performs lab testing of amine, water and black gasoline as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Essential Requirements: Experience, Educational & Special Training Required
Natural Gas Plant work is subject to hazardous conditions including escaping gas, adverse weather conditions, extreme temperatures, heights, high-pressure gas lines, heavy lifting, and cramped conditions. Employees are required to live within a reasonable distance of their reporting location. Position is subject to applicable U.S. Department of Transportation Drug & Alcohol regulations.
Natural gas gathering and processing is an 'around the clock' operation and incumbents are required to be reasonably available to respond to emergency and other operational needs whenever they occur. The job will require some travel for temporary assignments, meetings, and training.
Incumbent will be required to learn duties associated with one or more specific areas of the operation depending on the operational need and the employee's demonstrated abilities
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum of 5 yrs. experience.
Good mechanical aptitude.
Basic computer skills.
Effective written &verbal communications.
Ability to read comprehend and apply information in operating manuals.
Ability to respond to emergency call-outs within the hour.
Works indoors and outdoors, in and around mechanical, industrial and electrical equipment. Required to climb about equipment and work in close proximities. Works in temperature extremes due to weather conditions and operating equipment. Follows and adheres to all applicable Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) guidelines (ex: eye protection, ear plugs, FRCs). Uses physical force to lift, push, pull and hold equipment and tools. Climbs and works at various heights and may work in a standing, sitting, lying down, crouched or kneeling position. Routinely reacts to visual, aural and other signals, including alarms and instructions, and is required to visually inspect work. Must be able to regularly bend, stoop, move from ground level to higher levels, raise/lift from ground level a load up to 50 lbs. Must have the ability to get in and out of vehicles regularly and ride over rough roads. Will be subject to overtime, shift work and call-outs.
