Essential Functions

Must be able to perform all phases of plating, cleaning and wastewater pretreatment operations following standardized methods and procedures.Follow plating cycles and prescribed cleaning procedures to obtain proper finishes.Perform analyzing procedures with laboratory test equipment to maintain adequate solution levels to achieve proper plating, cleaning and wastewater pretreatment.Check plated and cleaned parts and resolve any defects.Responsible for developing and maintaining records, charts, procedures and work with the plating workforce on a daily basis to meet production schedules and job rate standards under the supervision of the Department Manager.Coordinates and performs the maintenance, preventive maintenance, operator care and 5S of all equipment. The technician must be willing to flex onto/into other shifts to support customer demand and department maintenance schedules. Will be required to attend educational plating courses or additional training as directed by the Company. Examples (hazardous waste handling, knowledge of spill plan, DOT training, ISO14001, confined space, credit card policies and procedures, fork lift certification, leadership training, right to know, etc.)Accountable for training and maintaining back-up technician at a competent skill level using training evaluation.The technician must be familiar with all systems, procedures and plating techniques affecting departmental operations.Must also be able to trouble shoot and solve plating problems.Accountable for process, evaluation, measurement, documentation and improvement on a continuous basis. Participate in department and process team activities and projects.Will lead and direct other employees Will follow all Safety and Environmental Rules, Policies, and Procedures Performs other duties and assigned by the Department Manager or Supervisor (VSTL). Qualifications

1.High School Education or equivalent. 2.5 to 10 years plating experience.3.Good problem solving and decision making abilities.4.Wastewater Operator Certification from WI DNR (or be willing to obtain within 6 months)5.Required excellent Team Building and Leadership skills. 6.Ability to obtain a Parker Powered Industrial Truck License Class IV 7.Must have demonstrated Team Building and Leadership experience.8.Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident Make sure you have attached a resume in .pdf or WORD format!Minority/Female/Disability/Veteran/VEVRAA Federal Contractor
