Department: (3887) Neurodiagnostics
Job Summary: The Polysomnographic Technician is responsible for the acquisition of sleep data in the Sleep Disorders Center. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient preparation for polysomnography, electrode and recording trancducer placement and application, nasal CPAP and BIPAP titration, monitoring of sleep patterns and recognition of abnormal events of sleep. Primary site is Mercy Medical Center but will help occasionally at St. Elizabeth Hospital, if needed.
Job Requirements: As Associate Degree in Respiratory Care, Electro-Neurodiagnostics or Applied Science is preferred. Other health care training (i.e. LPN, Nurse Assistant, EMT, etc) may be considered. A license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, REEGT credential are preferred. Experience in Polysomnography, Respiratory Care or EEG/EP technologies are preferred. Will consider a minimum of two (2) years of other direct patient care experience. A working knowledge of Windows based computer systems is required. Part-time Night shift
