Requirements The Pool Greeter is responsible for greeting guests in a warm and friendly manner, controlling the flow of the Pool complex, handling cabana reservations, managing the retail operation, and taking incoming telephone calls. The most important duty of a Pool Greeter is to make our guests feel as if they are guests in one's own home. A Pool Greeter interacts with servers, lifeguards, pool attendants, and guests, therefore, a professional, friendly manner and great communication skills are essential to this role. The Pool Greeter is the first and last impression of the pool complex, and therefore has the opportunity to set the tone for our guests and see them off with a smile. The Greeter and the Beach & Pool Attendant are great positions for an outgoing individual who enjoys working in an exciting, high-volume environment. In addition to performance of the essential functions, the Pool Greeter may be required to perform a combination of other duties with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the manager based upon the particular requirements of the pool complex and/or hotel. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to work outside in the elements up to 100 Degrees Plus, year-round. Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. May be required to lift trays of food or food items weighing up to 30 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity. QUALIFICATION STANDARDS High school or equivalent education/work experience required. Must possess basic computational ability. Must possess basic computer skills. EXPERIENCE Minimum of two years experience in public contact, cashier, or customer service position preferred. Preferred restaurant/hospitality experience. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS CPR and/or Red Cross Lifeguard Certification preferred but not required. GROOMING All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Starwood standards.
