Cadence Capital Management is a Boston-based investment adviser founded in 1988. Recently acquired by Pacific Asset Advisors LLC, an investment management firm wholly-owned by Pacific Life Insurance Company, we operate as an independent investment adviser with approximately $4 billion in assets under management. Cadence manages disciplined, systematic investment strategies ranging from global Strategic Beta portfolios to active growth stock portfolios across the market capitalization spectrum. We use a team approach in everything we do -- from our investment team to trading to operations to administration.
Cadence is currently seeking a Portfolio Manager for our global Strategic Beta Team. In addition to portfolio implementation, he or she will conduct research to support and enhance our Beta portfolios framework. The candidate should have strong quantitative skills as well as excellent writing and communication abilities.
He or she will have the opportunity to work across the organization to help enhance and grow the Cadence Strategic Beta platform and business.
* All aspects of portfolio implementation
* Conduct independent research projects including the writing of white papers
* Design new Beta strategies and portfolios
* Enhance team research and portfolio management infrastructure and reporting
* Support sales, marketing, and client service
* Minimum of a bachelor’s degree and 10 years of related experience
* Experience managing quantitative portfolios as well as conducting empirical investment research
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills with a willingness to learn new approaches
* Broad understanding of capital markets
* Well-developed communication skills, both oral and written
