Suspense Coordinator

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Suspense Coordinator is responsible for tracking, curing and delivering all investor suspense items on closed loans ensuring that loans get purchased in a timely manner and penalties are kept to a minimum.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
* Using reports identify loans that have issues that are preventing the loan from being purchased
* Contact borrower, closing agents and other sources to obtain missing/corrected documents
* Work with Processor, Underwriter, Loan Officer and others to clear issues
* Upload documents to investors and track progress until loan is purchased
* Using warehouse reports prioritize work flow to get loans off warehouse lines as quickly as possible
* Prepare wire requests
* Assist in any other areas of Post Closing as requested

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:
* High school diploma or equivalent required
* Associates degree helpful
* Mortgage experience, in a processing or closing position preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
* Must have excellent communication skills in order to effectively communicate with borrowers, title agents, closing attorneys and internal team players
* Must have excellent customer service skills (both verbal and written)
* Must have vast knowledge of the loan process and loan documents
* Must have knowledge of investor and agency requirements
* Must be accurate and detail oriented
* Must show good judgment and decision making abilities
* Must have good time management and organizational skills
* Must demonstrate the ability to work in a fast-pace, high volume, market driven work environment, while remaining motivated and focused completing repetitive, yet business critical tasks
* Must be flexible to assist with additional projects that are introduced based on the needs of the department
* Must be dependable and work well under pressure

TRAINING / LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
