Research will be related to T cell & antigen presenting cell interactions utilizing both human & mouse systems in an effort to gain insight into pathogenic mechanisms of autoimmune disease. br /br /strongResponsibilities /strongbr /Design a strategy that will help him/her to excel in the development, optimization & characterization of experimental approaches necessary for the projectbr /br /Constantly review the data & monitor the progress of his/her plan with his/her mentor & adopt the necessary corrective measures to guarantee the success of the plan. br /br /Develop strong external & internal scientific credibility & maintain it through participations & presentations at major external scientific meetings as well as publications br /br /Collaborate with others in the group & participate in project team meetings. br /br /strongQualifications /strongbr /Recent or imminent PhD in Immunology or related field. Previous research focused on antigen presenting cell populations/activities &/or T cell biology would be advantageous.br /br /Competencies:br /br /C&idate should be skilled at least three of the following assays: flow cytometry on immune cells, cellular assays such as immune cell differentiation, proliferation (including CSFE dye dilution), cytokine production, or other functional activities, isolation & culture of cell populations such as T cells, B cells, antigen presenting cells, ELISAs for cytokines or antibodies, Western blot analysis, qRT-PCR, immunohistochemistry & in vivo or ex vivo mechanistic studies (adoptive transfer systems an advantage). br /br /Must be able to communicate effectively in verbal & written form br /br /strongEqual Employment Opportunity /strongbr /Pfizer is committed to equal opportunity in the terms & conditions of employment for all employees & job applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, age, gender identity or gender expression, national origin, disability or veteran status.
