We are looking for a driven Calibration Engineer for our Powertrain Integration and Performance group. Specific focus will be in-vehicle heavy duty diesel engine performance of the North American PACCAR engine families. The selected individual will work in a global cross-divisional team to develop the best performing emission and OBD compliant engine calibration for North America.

Uses engineering principles and experience to develop test procedures to conduct targeted powertrain performance testing.

Provides technical feedback on proposed product changes.

Actively participate in the development, verification, release and implementation of software for NA engines and aftermarket.

Provides relevant input to the development, communication and management of vehicle development plans, including timing, quality and budget.

Supports embedded engineering group with new product requirements definition and software prototyping initiatives.

Provides support to the running business group in the calibration, verification and release of running change software releases.

Works with OBD team to build robust diagnostic calibrations.

Leads initiatives to improve calibration and testing methods for higher efficiency and effectiveness

Stays current on software functionality and product requirements for the PACCAR engine family.Stays technically current with the heavy duty diesel industry.Mentors less experienced engineers to help them develop in their career and expand the team s skill base.

Maintains positive working relationships with other groups and PACCAR divisions.

BS in appropriate technical field required, MS degree in technical field preferred

Minimum three years of relevant work experience required

Sound knowledge of in-vehicle engine calibration and data acquisition systems, OBD, and engine control systems

Ability to work well independently and as part of a team

Ability to summarize technical issues and communicate effectively multi-cultural environment

Self-directed, excellent analysis and engineering judgment required

Organized and disciplined with ability to manage personal workload and a willingness and initiative to respond to shifting time and project demands.

Excellent oral and written communications skills

Ability to travel up to 15%
