Job Description
Rockwell POSITION SUMMARY:
This position will develop global business strategies to support International and Service Solutions (I&SS). The position will work closely with the Regional Strategy groups as well as interact with the Corporate Development and Business Units Strategy groups. The position will also support the Mergers and Acquisition functions within I&SS and the other BU Strategy groups. The role will include the development of the International S&FP, AOP, offset and marketing strategies with special focus on selecting, prioritizing and developing country business plans which will increase the growth rate of RCI international sales.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Leads international acquisition activities and process including development of business case/strategic rationale to acquire a company thru DPA/B process; leads due diligence teams.
- Serves as team lead on special assignments such as global market studies, offset initiatives and evaluating new growth opportunities in support of decision point reviews.
- As international lead, supports and integrates the regions development of complex market analyses, identification of environmental trends, opportunities and risks with special focus on growth beyond the plan.
- Supports the development of the International Business SFP and AOP and coordinates the regional inputs.
- Creates formal networks involving coordination among groups. Serves as a prime contact point for the organization on significant matters relating to the market environment, programs, Rockwell Collins capabilities and gaps, strategic objectives and long- terms goals.
- Acts independently to improve existing international business processes and determines methods and solutions on or special assignments.
- Works under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Virtually self-supervisory.
Requirements:
The position requires Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, and eight years of related experience, or, in the absence of a bachelor's degree, fourteen years of related experience. Requires demonstrated ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and in a team setting, preferably in a cross-functional team environment. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills and verbal communications skills. Position requires a personality that is comfortable with ambiguity common in the early stages of a strategic business initiative. Must be adept at converting abstract strategic ideas into concrete, robust, data-supported presentations. Ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of the aviation/defense international market and industry.
