PRESIDENT & COO

* My client is looking for an exceptional President & COO to help grow its industry leading position as one of the most innovative and established event designers. You will have a profound impact on the people, culture, operations and strategy of the Company. As President & COO, you will be responsible for managing all operational and financial aspects of the business, help build a high performance culture and position the Company for continued growth. EXPERIENCE IN GENERAL MANAGEMENT OF A SERVICES-DRIVEN BUSINESS SUCH AS HOSPITALITY, CATERING, FOOD & BEVERAGE, EVENT DESIGN, ETC. THIS IS A MUST.

Your responsibilities will include:

OPERATIONS & HUMAN RESOURCES (35%)

* Oversee all day-to day management of staff including recruiting and management of fixed and variable resources
* Oversee all day-to-day operational matters for the Company including managing all third party vendors such as banks, bookkeepers, finance and human resources
* Systematize and manage use of variable and seasonal labor
* Set compensation scales for all staff including salary, bonuses (if any) and benefits
* Implement and conduct quarterly performance reviews
* Ensure compliance with all state and federal labor employment practices and regulations
* Audit and implement ERP / MIS / CRM systems to modernize Company operations and improve efficiencies

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT (35%)

* Manage all internal financial systems including financialreporting, budgetreporting, accounting and tax
* Prepare budgets and revenue forecasts and deliver monthly variance reports
* Oversee all daily finance functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash flow management
* Analyze and optimize key metrics related to financial health including pricing, margins and operating profit
* Analyze and help rationalize areas of capital and operating expenses within the Company
* Help to manage capital raising process for future rounds of equity and/or debt financing

CULTURE (20%)

* Build a high performance culture with clear expectations, milestones, job descriptions and accountability
* Identify and evaluate new business development strategies for the Company (e.g. partnerships with venues)

STRATEGY (10%)

* Identify and evaluate new potential service and product offerings for the Company (e.g. corporate events)
* Identify and evaluate new business development strategies for the Company (e.g. partnerships with venues)

You must have:

* 10+ years of relevant experience in general management of a SERVICES-DRIVEN BUSINESS SUCH AS HOSPITALITY, CATERING, FOOD & BEVERAGE, EVENT DESIGN, ETC. THIS IS A MUST.
* Success working in a cross-functional role across an organization
* Exceptional communication and organizational skills - Strong proficiency in Word, Excel and Power Point / Keynote. Ability to develop and deliver complex financial models, Desire to lead, manage and coach a team and ability to manage third party vendors effectively and efficiently.
