JOB DESCRIPTIONAPPLY POSITION SUMMARY: Provides educational information to adults, and families using Life Skills and Parenting curriculums. These prevention groups are conducted in the community so some travel is required. Position requires visits to Port Manatee Jail. Must possess a valid Florida Driver's License in good standing, with their own vehicle.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in human services related field required. Requires a self-motivated individual with good time management and organizational skills.
SPECIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES: Requires a self-motivated individual with good time management and organizational skills. Good stress management skills and emotional maturity in order to thrive in a work environment that poses unique challenges.
Will provide knowledge and increased awareness of the nature and extent of alcohol and drug use.
Will facilitate evidenced based education groups to inmates at the local jail and any other setting decided on by program supervisor.
Will establish positive working relationship with Correction Officers, jail staff, etc. and educate the community about Centerstone's treatment programs and services.
Will need to be able to document and maintain records of contacts and presentations.
Must be self-motivated, have good communication skills, and be assertive with clear and appropriate boundaries.
Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Pay Rate: $15.00 an hour
