Pricing Analyst

Job Description
RTI s Social, Statistical and Environmental Sciences department is seeking qualified candidates for a full-time Pricing Analyst based in Research Triangle Park NC. The Pricing Analyst provides financial services in the area of research project/contract financial management for the Social Statistical and Environmental Sciences (SSES) Group within RTI. This position reports to the Financial Analysis Office (FAO) Manager and works closely with other analysts within the finance team, Proposal Development Office, the Office of Contracts and Research Group Finance. The primary role of this position will be competitive budget/pricing development and preparation of business proposals for both domestic and international government clients as well as commercial firms.

Responsibilities
Candidate will show demonstrated aptitude in the following:

Financial business partner and interface for business proposals and budgets with technical,
contractual, financial and administrative units
Collaborate to prepare competitive budget concepts and business proposals in coordination
with other members of the proposal team while remaining compliant with the Request for
Proposal (RFP) and RTI internal policies
Review Bid Decision Worksheets (BDWs) and maintain calendar of necessary dates to
ensure timely submission of proposals in coordination with the Proposal Manager (PM).
Review Request for Proposals/Applications (RFP/RFAs) to determine proposal requirements
and identify issues which may require client clarification, and solicit input on appropriate
budget approach needed to meet costing requirements and needs.
Prepare accurate and competitive price or cost estimate using financial forecasting software
and additional analysis and obtain necessary review by project management team.
Assess proposal opportunities for financial and business risk to develop risk mitigation
strategies and engage in planning, strategy, and process surrounding business proposals.
Coordinate, lead and take ownership of strategy sessions and budget reviews to develop win
themes, identify and assess competitors and discuss client needs.
Coordinate receipt of subcontractor business proposal items and oversee subcontract
budgeting as part of overall budgeting process to ensure that final budgets are
complementary.
Assemble business proposal package for Contract Negotiator review and signature.

Qualifications
Bachelor s Degree with 1-2 years of related experience or equivalent
Related experience includes experience in government contracting, financial analysis, project
management, and risk assessment.
Strong analytical Skills
Ability to help influence decision making
