NetApp has an exciting opportunity in its Strategic Products and Accounts organization for a highly motivated Principal Architect. This individual will utilize his/her strong technical competencies and a customer centric approach to drive NetApp adoption in line with key go-to-market initiatives, including:
Campaigns to penetrate and grow the largest enterprise accounts
Targeted programs to drive growth with strategic partners
Continued efforts to transition existing customers to current strategic solutions
The Principal Architect will interact with key sales teams and partners to drive adoption of NetApp technology:
Understand global enterprise customers business requirements and translate NetApp solutions into relevant value for the customer.
Develop and position customer-centric value of strategic products and solutions to drive tech refresh, net new and competitive takeout opportunities at global enterprise customers.
Guide NetApp field, partners, and customers through various aspects of the evolution to the Data Fabric and its foundational components.
Facilitate cross functional alignment across NetApp teams and business units (i.e. Sales, Product Operations, marketing) to drive overall success with strategic NetApp products.
Interact with assigned global customers to drive conversion of legacy install base to strategic products
Interact with aligned partners to enable NetApp and partner growth through tech refresh, net new, and competitive takeout opportunities to Data ONTAP.
Work with an extended global team to capture and proliferate successful strategies and approaches.
Lead the way in helping account teams and partners cultivate opportunities in line with evolving IT models and technology trends such is Mod 2 and Cloud.
Leverage industry, technical, and customer acumen to establish relevance to large enterprise customers
Guide enterprise sales teams to align NetApp solutions to solve problems and deliver customer relevant business value to large enterprise customers
Differentiate and explain NetApp strategy, technology, and value from that of competitors
Participate in program focused iniatives to create new offerings, services, collateral, or best practices to help customers adopt NetApp technology
Represent the field and customer perspective to Product Ops and other functional teams with focus on field requirements, areas of risk, opportunities to accelerate growth, and go to market strategies.
Drive field awareness and adoption of initiatives and programs designed to accelerate strategic products; provides feedback to improve initiatives and programs throughout their lifecycle.
Works with Senior Management and Vice President level employees addressing issues related to and associated with transitioning customers to NetApp strategic products.
The position reports to a Senior Manager
Highly desired that this individual shows autonomy in identifying, socializing, and executing on opportunities to drive Strategic Product (i.e. ONTAP, OCI, DataFabric) adoption in their assigned area.
Strong ability to influence and lead change and progress directly related to program initiatives
Ability to identify opportunities for accelerated growth and areas of risk, as well as work with functional organizations to capitalize on growth opportunities and resolve factors related to areas of risk.
Familiar with new DataCenter Technologies and their impact on the way customers operate their IT.
Sound knowledge of NetApp portfolio including value proposition, product positioning, roadmap, and technical applicability.
Support of proofs of concept (customer requirements, planning, and execution)
Ability to guide teams and customers through transitions to NetApp technology and new datacenter models, with emphasis on building a strategy and high level plan; familiarity with tools, processes, assessing/qualifying, migrations, operational planning, etc.
High level knowledge of competing storage and datacenter solutions
Excellent and effective communication skills at the executive level (Internal and external)
Effective collaboration skills to share best practices and successful account strategies across globally distributed team
Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and understanding how to utilize them in a customer facing environment.
Proven track record of surpassing objectives and delivering exceptional results.
Education and Experience
Education & Experience:
8 to 12 years of experience is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A Bachelor of Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent is required. A Graduate Degree is desired.
