JOB DESCRIPTIONPermanent position for a Principal Electrical Systems Engineer to plan, develop, and conduct engineering and product development projects. Responsible for all phases of development, including requirements development, project planning, concept development, detailed design, prototyping, testing, transition to production, and aftermarket support. Provide planning, reporting, and management support in addition to technical implementation. Recognize project success from multiple levels of financial, technical, and timeline management responsibilities.Lead electrical engineering development of significant engineering projects with activities that include requirements management, design, testing, and qualification to aerospace standards.Lead engineering activities of project teams, comprised of in-house staff, contractors, and consultants. Develop specifications, provide technical direction, and review work products.Architects electrical sub-systems by studying customer requirements and proposing optimized solutions by applying knowledge of the behaviors of electromechanical systems.Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs.Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.Work both indivi
BS Electrical Engineering.Minimum experience of 15 years working as an
electrical or systems engineer in Aerospace or a related field.Strong leadership,
teamwork, communication, organizational, and project management skills.Excellent
problem solving and time management skills.Experience in power electronics
and motion controls; high voltage/current brushless DC motor controls incorporating
velocity and current loops, analog and digital controls, and power conditioning
including active Power Factor Correction.Experience in developing electrical
systems architecture; requirements management in support of electromechanical
systems, electrical sub-system design partitioning and topology.Experience
with system and circuit simulation tools and requirements management tools.Experience
with DO-254 hardware certification, DO-160 and MIL-STD-810 Environmental
Testing, MIL-STD-704 Aircraft Electric Power Characteristics, and MIL-STD-464
Electromagnetic Environmental EffectsExperience with product design lifecycle
from requirements definition to system architecture to design, test, and
