Job Description

We are currently looking to add a Principal Engineer to support our Denver, CO office location.

The primary responsibilities for this role will include:

Technical leader, Project Manager
Lead structural engineer/project manager on small to large projects
Office assignments with some travel required, domestic and international
Client contact, management and relationship building will be part of the responsibilities for this position.
Supervisory responsibility in directing staff engineers during project delivery and business development activities.Qualifications Bachelors degree in Civil Engineer required; Master of Science degree in Civil engineering strongly preferred.
12 - 25 years experience in the modeling and analysis of mass concrete structures, hydraulic structures for dams and hydropower plants, and arch dams.
Strong fundamental knowledge of principles of structural engineering, earthquake loading, soil structure interaction, and experience in 3 D modeling of structures.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Good organizational skills
Experience with report writing, developing technical proposals and preparing task budgets.
Detail oriented, with experience in preparing design calculations and drawings, and accustomed to producing high quality work
Licensed Professional Engineer
Must have extensive experience with finite element modeling of structures. Prior experience with ANSYS, ABACUS or similar structural modeling programs required. Working knowledge of numerical modeling.
Demonstrated project management skills and client management skills
Technical expertise in planning studies, analysis and design of structures.
Extensive experience with detailed analysis and design services related to dams and reservoirs, underground structures for water conveyance and water resources projects.
Previous experience in mentoring young engineers and in developing a high level technical analysis group.
Administrative experience in project management, technical leadership and task leader for a variety of projects, budget and schedule management.
