JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Principal Enterprise Assurance Developer and Applications Security Engineer will play an integral part within BRLI and the Enterprise Risk, Governance and Security Department. The Principal Enterprise Assurance Developer will manage and drive the use and deployment of software tools, techniques, design, architecture and projects related to information assurance, process assurance, security, risk and compliance systems and controls across the entire organization to include information technology applications, software and business/technology process management systems in terms of policy, design principles, and strategy for interdependent systems using a team approach. The Principal Enterprise Assurance Developer builds quantitative, traceable, repeatable orchestrations in the Serena software and other family (such as Appian, Oracles, Microsoft, HP, Pega systems etc.) of BPM products to ensure the organization can manage business and IT delivery expectations in a secure, information assured and compliant (with contractual and federal regulations) manner.
This person will be a hands on with Serena BPM software, Tomcat, Apache, Java, HTML, PHP, Share Point and .NET software, their frameworks and it's delivery as well as assist the VP/CISO to manage systems and solutions in achieving the goals and work as a solutions architect. The Principal Enterprise Assurance Developer develops, deploys and manages initiatives to automate, system-ize manual and isolated processes, systems or technology in the BRLI domain. This person will work with senior and middle management as well as engineers and developers to ensure measures, standards, solutions evaluated, designed and/or implemented are technically feasible and/or sound. Additionally he/she will be tasked to define and design technical as well as operational capabilities that do not or may not exist currently.
The incumbent will exhibit expert knowledge in the transitional and stateful (not typical trigger and threshold systems) workflow design using the Serena Business Management (SBM) family of (and others) products. The Principal Enterprise Assurance Developer must be familiar with orchestrations and scripting as well as complex business and SDLC logic needs. Conducting and supporting development projects software build management, development of build scripts, VB, C#, Tomcat and/or Java scripting and tailoring of the Serena build and configuration installation functionality to meet the needs of the lines of business, IT, Risk, Governance, Security and Compliance teams. The Principal Assurance Developer will require experience with full life cycle software and process methodologies as well as assist the various software development teams on the proper risk management and security of applications developed, deployed and implemented at BRLI. Other tasks include but are not limited to the:
o Involvement in the implementation of new security solutions
o Participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines and procedures
o Assisting other teams with conducting vulnerability audits and assessments of applications
o Assisting the Quality Management teams in assurance management techniques, automation and practices
o Assist in Release, Change and Project Management orchestrations, software, practice builds and deployments
o Improve, build, or create new enterprise solutions in SBM and other assigned BPM solutions
Duties and Responsibilities:
* A minimum of six(10) years of applications programming and development (writing software code)
* Ideal educational background with an undergraduate degree in engineering, computer science or mathematics or "demonstrated" equivalent of extensive technology experience in software coding and Serena software.
* Desired Technical Skills, strong analytical, coding, familiarity and problem solving capabilities in the following areas:
* Must have experience developing solutions in Serena SBM, Serena SSM, HTML and Tomcat
* High degree of operational knowledge with Serena Service, Business Dimensions management systems
* Ability to orchestrate quickly within the toolset is extremely desirable
* Serena Systems Administrator
* Serena Business Manager coding capability
* SBM(Serena business Manager) Composer
